Paul McCobb was one of the leading American designers of the mid-century modern period. His works received Good Design Awards from MoMA, and objects designed by McCobb are represented in major museum collections, including the Brooklyn Museum, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
