A finely decorated Japanese Imari-style porcelain plate featuring a rich aka-e (iron-red enamel) palette with extensive kinrande gilt ornamentation. The composition is arranged around three cartouches depicting traditional hanaguruma (flower cart) motifs filled with seasonal blossoms and auspicious decorative elements.

The deep iron-red ground is embellished with elegant scrolling karakusa arabesques interspersed with geometric roundels, creating a refined balance between ornamental density and visual rhythm. The lavish application of gilding enhances the luxurious character of the piece, masterfully reviving the opulent aesthetic of classical Edo-period export wares.

The reverse of the plate features a clean glazed base bearing the red overglaze backstamp “GOLD IMARI / Hand Painted / Japan”, accompanied by a stylized square workshop seal and the traditional hand-painted iron-red characters 有田 (Arita), identifying its origin from the historic porcelain-producing region of Saga Prefecture. Three small kiln firing marks visible on the foot rim are consistent with high-quality Arita production of the mid-to-late twentieth century.
